Centro de Ayuda Mutua Salud para Todos (CAMSAT) is one of the most important social organizations in Bañado Sur de Asunción, Paraguay, it was created in 1989 by the Spanish Dominican Father Pedro Velazco and the neighbors of the place. This community association has put into operation the participation of the neighborhood to generate positive changes to needs such as exclusion, marginalization and delinquency, as well as facilitating access to infrastructure support systems and basic services. The study of this organization focuses on the quali-quantitative analysis of its social, economic and urban participation, with the aim of describing its forms of mobilization and resilience in the face of the precarious conditions of the place. The facts analyzed in the article facilitate the dynamic understanding of stratification within the urban coastal settlement system, and they show that organizations offer alternative solutions to their experiences of conflicts such as poverty. Political integration, community and neighborhood struggle continue to be ways of construction and resolution. The innate solidarity of the human being generates the change towards a more harmonious city with the least favored in the social system.
